INSULIN
When our pancreas doesn’t produce insulin anymore or when our bodies don’t respond to that pancreas-made insulin anymore, we’ll get an excess of sugars in our blood. This causes a lot of health issues and is called diabetes. Does being diagnosed with diabetes mean you’re not allowed to have sugary products anymore? No, but keeping an eye on your blood sugar level is crucial. In some cases, an insulin pump can help people with that. Insulin is a hormone you cannot live without, so it’s a shame that it can be so expensive to buy in many countries.
